Vladimir Poliakoff, former publisher of the Pariser Tageblatt, German emigre daily in Paris, has lost a libel action against the London News-Chronicle in connection with the Chronicle’s reporting of the sale of the paper in June, 1936. At that time it was alleged that the paper had been sold to Nazi interests. a jury in the king’s bench division held that the action should not have been brought.
