Police arrested 36 members of the militant Gush Emunim settlers movement Wednesday night after they tried to break into the Prime Minister’s Office where the Cabinet was meeting in special session on the current negotiations for a second-stage disengagement accord in Sinai. All were released Thursday morning after questioning. The militants were part of a group of about 60 Gush Emunim followers who Wednesday attempted to establish a settlement near Sebastia on the West Bank west of Nablus but were forcibly removed by soldiers.
