Police stopped a Palestinian conference in eastern Jerusalem from taking place, saying that the slated participation of Palestinian Authority officials violated Israeli law.
The conference was to have taken place at the YMCA.
Palestinians planning to attend said an order, which banned the meeting and which was signed by Public Security Minister Moshe Shahal, was presented to the YMCA manager.
