Thousands of Nationalistic Czech students held an anti-Semitic street demonstration today, despite a police order forbidding it. They demanded a five percent numerus clausus for foreign students and more difficult entrance examinations for them. The police quickly dispersed the demonstrators, arresting some and injuring others. At Bratislava, anti-Semitic students also arranged mass demonstrations and removed Jewish students from the universities.
It is curious to note that the provincial president has promised to carry into effect the demands of the anti-Semitic students, saying that they are just. At the German universities in Prague, where there were recently anti-Semitic riots, quiet prevails.
