The Jewish stalls in Krusheviza were attacked today by a mob that looted and destroyed without let or hindrance until the small but energetic police force arrived and put an end to what threatened to become a menacing situation.
The shooting of the chief instigator of the trouble, one Kazimir Piekarevicz, by the police commissar, the arrest of fourteen of the looters, and the turning of fire hoses on the crowd by a fire brigade, ended the trouble. Much of the loot was regained.
