Police officials moved today to find the persons who yesterday burned a fiery cross on the lawn of Zeta Beta Tau, Jewish fraternity at the University of Southern California.
Many campus organizations issued statements condemning the outrage and asked strong police action against the white-hooded figures who set the blaze and then smeared the letters KKK on the walls of the fraternity house.
Addressing a meeting of about 100 student representatives, Robert Peck, president-elect of the Independent Students Association, described the Ku Klux Klan act as a “vile, obscene, fascist scheme.”
