Police stopped four members of a Toronto-based neo-Nazi group from handing out leaflets bearing swastikas because they did not have a city license to distribute pamphlets. It was the second time that the party distributed leaflets in downtown London, Ontario, a city of about 100,000 in Western Ontario.
John Beattie, self-styled leader, said they will seek a license for future pamphlet distribution. It costs $10 at city hall. Beattie said London has been singled out by the party as a future stronghold of party activity. There will be more leaflets and demonstrations, he said, in the next three or four weeks aimed at the city’s youth.
