Police in Israel placed three Maryland teenagers under house arrest after seizing about 840 grams of marijuana from them, a police spokesman said. The youths, who were on the Alexander Muss Institute for Israel Education program, were taken into custody and held over the weekend in Kfar Saba, north of Tel Aviv, the Washington Jewish Week reported. The teens, who were visiting Israel on a trip sponsored by the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, face charges for possession and sale of marijuana, according to a police spokesman.
