Police in New York arrested 27 people who allegedly attempted to break into a school attached to a Brooklyn synagogue. Tuesday night’s alleged break-in was the latest flare-up of violence surrounding a dynastic battle in the fervently Orthodox Satmar community. Earlier Tuesday, police broke up a brawl in a Brooklyn synagogue between supporters of Zalman and Aaron Teitelbaum, who both claim to be the successor to their father, Moshe Teitelbaum.
