Police Minister Haim Barlev Thursday approved the recommended dismissal of Border Police officer Meir Lavie for allowing prisoners in his custody to stop off for a swim while enroute from a courthouse to jail. The prisoners are alleged members of a Jewish terrorist underground charged with acts of criminal violence and criminal conspiracy against Arab civilians in the West Bank and Islamic shrines in East Jerusalem.
