Police placed a 31-year-old Israeli man suspected of threatening prime ministerial candidate Amnon Lipkin-Shahak under house arrest. According to police, the man shouted, “Maniac, you will die” when the centrist candidate made a campaign stop in a Tel Aviv neighborhood last week. The man later apologized for the remark during a court hearing. Police are searching for another individual suspected of threatening Shahak.
