Israeli police are investigating a criminal ring believed to be smuggling counterfeit dollars into the country. Several arrests have been made including two persons named by a third who was fatally wounded last night, apparently by the smugglers. The man, who subsequently died, was known by police to have underworld connections. He reportedly told them that the shooting was connected with a dispute over the bogus bills.
