Dr. Ahmed Tibi, an Israeli Arab doctor who is an adviser to Palestine Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat, was questioned by Israel police Tuesday.
Tibi was summoned to the Bethlehem police station and asked about his involvement in demonstrations in December and January over the expansion of the West Bank settlement Efrat. Palestinians from the nearby village Al-khader claimed the land belonged to them.
Tibi was accused of inciting violence when he told reporters at the time that settlement activity would bring about a new intifada.
