Windows of Jewish shops were smashed Sunday night by anti-Semitic National Democratic students in retaliation for their arrest the night before.

The students were arrested on Saturday night after they had beaten up Jewish passersby and broken windows of Jewish stores. Saturday night this was an outburst in protest against the prohibition of a demonstration called for spreading boycott agitation against the Jews.

The National Democratic students spread the rumor that Jewish students beat the Polish students in order to stimulate the attack.

A strong police guard was stationed around the Jewish quarter today as a precautionary measure.
