Jewish boys in Wilno, Poland, are completing the fifth year of operation of their unique school as “a state in miniature,” the Gdynia-America Line announced yesterday. Completely self-governed, the institution is said to be producing remarkable results and educators in other countries, are turning toward it for inspiration.

According to Z. Tygel, executive director of the Federation of Polish Jews of America, who returned last week from a two-month tour of Poland and Palestine, the 235 pupils in this unusual school have delegated certain powers to their colleagues but have carefully safeguarded the democratic principle.
