At the suggestion of the new Minister of Finance, M. Duskiewicz, the Polish cabinet is considering the draft of a law that would completely abolish all of the old Czaristic restrictions against the Jews. The Jewish deputy Harglass has been asked to prepare the necessary documents for submission by the Kolo, the Jewish Deputies Club.
The position of the Jews with regard to the laws left over from the time when Poland was part of the Russian Empire is now abnormal as a result of two leading decisions existing regarding the restrictions. One decision from the highest court in Poland declared that all of the restrictions imposed during the Czaristic regime were automatically wiped out with the liberation of Poland. A decision of the administrative tribunal, however, said that every constitutional restriction requires a special law for its abolition. The matter has been placed on the agenda of the Cabinet for final settlement
