Polish girls in the German-occupied provinces wear Jewish armbands when they go out on the streets in order to protect themselves from seizure for the entertainment of the Nazi troops, a neutral observer who has been living in Warsaw and has just succeeded in leaving the country, reported here today.
Jewish girls, he declared, are no longer seized for association with the German troops, in belated deference to the racial laws, but hundreds of Polish girls have been conscripted and sent to other countries for the use of the German garrisons there.
