The Chicago Tribune prints the following report from its correspondent in Riga:

“Thousands of Jews face immediate deportation from Poland unless Monday’s special order issued by the ministry of war is obeyed immediately. The order announces that all foreigners of military are living in Poland who do not have proper passports must report for active duty within three days or else leave the country.

“The order is directed against the 100.000 Jews of military age who secretly crossed the Polish frontier from the Ukraine during the period from 1921 to 1924.

“Jewish delegates in parliament are putting up strenuous objections to the measure.”
