The Polish Government has extended the deadline for filing claims for property classified as abandoned or heirless as a result of Nazi action, it was revealed here in the current issue of the Official Gazetts. The new deadline is December 31, 1948.
The extension was requested three weeks ago by the Jewish Central Committee of Poland to give relatives abroad of Jewish families wiped out by the Nazis more time to file applications for the property.
