That the Polish Government has no official knowledge of any plan for the annuling of the supplementary treaty guaranteeing the rights of national minorities, based on Article 93 of the Versailles Treaty; and that the Polish Government would, in no event, annul international ratified treaties, was declared by Count Zamoysky, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, at a session of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Polish Diet.
This statement was made in reply to a question put to the Minister by Jewish Deputy Reich on behalf of the national minorities bloc in Poland, which was alarmed at the recently circulated reports in this matter.
At the same time, at a meeting of the Foeign Relations Committee of the Senate, Senator Ringel put a similar question to the Committee, addressing himself expressed himself recently in a newspaper interview as favoring the abolishment of the national minorities treaty. Mr. Trampozynsky, who was present, replied that he made the newspaper statement for the purpose of giving moral support to the Polish Government in case it should desire to take up in an international way the matter of modifying the minorities treaty.
