The Polish Government is showing “deep understanding” of ORT activities in this country, ” it was stated here today by Dr. Vladimir Halpern, Geneva director for the World ORT Union.
Summarizing his impressions of ORT activities in Poland, after a visit to this country completed today, Dr. Halpern said that the ORT schools in Poland have the highest percentage of pupils, compared to the country’s total Jewish population. ORT education in Poland, he said, is “attuned to conditions in this country and to the need of the Polish economy.”
