The Jewish Kolo, club of the Jewish deputies in the Polish parliament, was sharply attacked today in the Sejm by the Polish Socialists and the Endeks, National Democrats, anti-Semitic, anti-government party, because the Jewish deputies abstained from voting for a motion of non-confidence in the Speaker of the Sejm.
The opposition alleges that the Speaker rushed through the adoption of the new consititution, without giving the opposition a chance to discuss the measure. The Jewish deputies also opposed the new constitution, which establishes a self-perpetuating dictatorship of the Pilsudski regime.
