Polish-Jewish refugees from the Berlin area, and from Poland proper, are continuing to infiltrate into the American zone, against strong opposition by U.S. military authorities. The position of the occupation authorities indicates that they have not yet received any new directives from Washington.
(A State Department spokesman told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency last week that both the State and War Departments are working on the problem of what to do with Jewish refugees fleeing into the U.S. zone, and will eventually send directives.)
