November 11th, the tenth anniversary of new Poland’s independence, will be a red letter day for Polish Jewry, according to plans formulated by the leading Jewish communities in the Republic.
The Executive Committee of the Warsaw Kehillah decided to commemorate the event by the erection of a magnificent synagogue in the capital.
Further plans now under way provide for the arrangement of parades of Jewish school children to the grave of the Unknown Soldier and the Unknown Jewish Soldier, who is buried in the Warsaw cemetery.
The procession will march to the music of bands to the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland’s White House, to pay tribute to the president, Ignace Mosciski. It will procced to the Belvedere Palace, Marshall Pilsudski’s residence.
The children’s parade will be escorted by the Zionist sport societies Maccabee and Bar Kochba.
