Jews throughout Poland participated today in a two-hour general strike in protest against the British Government’s White Paper on Palestine, while numerous protest meetings were held here and in Wilno, Lwow, Cracow, Lodz and elsewhere.

The Bund, Jewish Socialist party, refused to participate in the strike. As a protest against the Bund’s action, the Left Poale-Zion decided to withdraw from the Trade Union Council in which it was jointly represented with the Bund. The Right Poale-Zion issued a statement protesting the Bund’s action.
