A strike to protest the anti-Jewish disturbances last week, resulting in the injuring of scores of Jews, has been called in Warsaw and other cities throughout Poland for tomorrow.
Simultaneously, protest meetings will be held by Jews to urge the punishment of those sesponsible for instigating the recent troubles, by attaching responsibility for the Bolshevist executions on Jews living in Poland. The strike call has been issued by the Jewish Deputies’ Club, which is also behind the arrangements of the big public meetings.
An interpellation will be presented in the Diet shortly demanding half a billion marks as indemnity for damages sustained by Jewish merchants and others during the recent rioting, it is learned.
The “barbarous excesses” of last week are descried in a statement issued by the Town Council here, urging the various parts of the population to assist in the maintenance of order.
