The military co-operative at Graudenz advertised recently in the press for tenders for various supplies. A Jewish merchant in Warsaw sent in a tender, but this was immediately returned with a statement that no Jewish tenders were considered.
Deputy Waclaw Wiclicki, the President of the Federation of Jewish Merchants, who is one of the Jewish Deputies in the Government Party, wrote to General Skladkowski, the Vice-Minister of War, complaining of the antisemitic discrimination by a military co-operative. The Central Federation of Jewish Merchants also wrote to the Federation of Military Co-operatives, which replied that it could not dictate to its affiliated bodies from whom they were to make their purchases.
The Vice-Minister for War, General Skladkowski, (the War Minister is Marshal Pilsudski himself, who is now abroad), has to-day replied to Deputy Wiclicki that the persons responsible for what was done by the Graudenz Military Co-operative will be reprimanded and that the War Office will issue an order which make any recurrence impossible.
