The assertion that the national minorities in the Republic of Poland are well satisfied with the present regime was made by M. Zaleski, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, who represented this country at the League Assembly in Geneva, in an interview with the representative of the “London Observer.”
It is a long time since any complaint of the national minorities in Poland has been made to the League against the government. During the recent Congress of the National Minorities in Geneva, the Jewish representatives declared that they were well satisfied with the Polish rule, he stated.
The Friedlaender Classes which give elementary and advanced instruction in the Hebrew language and other Jewish subjects for adults, will re-open on October 6th, 1926, at 34 Stuyvesant Street, New York. These classes form the extension department of the Teachers’ Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and have been named after the late Professor Israel Friedlaender, who was killed while on a mission in Ukrainia.
