Henryk Strasburger, Polish Minister of Finance, today categorically denied that he had advocated the emigration of a 1,000,000 Jews from post-war Poland, as reported in the London Jewish Chronicle last week. The Chronicle in reporting the address made by Strasburger to Polish troops stationed in Scotland wrote that he had declared that “although all hands will be necessary for the rebuilding of a post-war Poland it would be helpful if a 1,000,000 Jews emigrated.” The Finance Minister declared that in his speech to the Polish troops he did not touch at all on the question of Jewish emigration.
