What was considered an important concession to Jewish merchants in Poland was granted by the Polish Ministry of Finance at the request of the Federation of Jewish Merchants Associations.
The Ministry ordered the tax collectors to notify the merchants fourteen days in advance of the execution of orders to collect unpaid taxes, in order to enable the merchants who are behind in their tax payments to make good before the execution is carried out.
