What might be taken as an indication of a more liberal attitude toward the school needs of the national minorities in Poland was issued by the Polish Ministry of Education.
The Ministry despatched a circular to all schools informing the principals that henceforth the Jewish, Ukrainian and White Russian and German minorities’ schools are entitled to use their own language not only as a medium of instruction but also in the administration of the schools. This ordinance does not apply to state schools.
