Funeral rites were conducted here today for Waclav Wislicki, president of the Central Jewish Merchants Association and member of the Polish Sejm, who died here last Friday following a heart attack.
Numerous Polish and Jewish dignitaries, including many members of Parliament and government officials, as well as represent- atives of Polish and Jewish businessmen’s associations, participated. Wislicki’s bier was piled high with floral tributes. Graveside eulogies emphasized Wislicki’s great services in the fight for Polish independence and also for the defense of Polish Jewish rights.
