(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The Polish branch of the Ort, the Jewish organization initiated in Russia for the purpose of directing the Jews into the trades and agriculture, will change its name, according to a resolution adopted at the annual Ort conference in session here.

The decision was taken in conformity with the request of the Polish government, which objected to the name Ort, in view of the fact that this name implies its Russian origin (the letters Ort are the initials of three Russian words, Obshestvo Rasprostranienia Truda).

The Polish branch will adopt the initials of the Polish equivalent for Society to Extend Professional Training and Agriculture Among the Jewish population.
