A declaration of human rights, guaranteeing equality to all inhabitants of Poland without distinction as to race, religion and ancestry was adopted unanimously by the Parliament. The declaration provides for freedom of religion and of public meetings.
The government today named Professor Olgierd Gorka Polish Consul General in Palestine. Professor Gorka, a well-known Polish historian, has been director of the Department for Jewish Affairs at the Foreign Ministry. He is one of the founders of the League to Combat Racism in Poland.
