Polish President Boleslaw Beirnt last night declared that the government is doing “everything possible to help” Polish Jews and create conditions which will keep them in the country, at his first press conference for foreign correspondents. His statement in full was:
“We are doing everything possible to help the Jews to find a means of livelihood and we are attempting to spread them equally through all branches of life. We want to create such conditions that Jews will not want to leave the country. But this naturally depends largely on the Jews themselves.”
