Polish terrorists, who are waging an illegal campaign against the Jews in Poland as well as against the Polish Government, killed the only surviving sixteen Jews in the town of Lishansk all of whom lived in the same house, it was reported here today. The house was mined by local Polish inhabitants, the report said.
A campaign for funds to reconstruct Jewish life in Warsaw was launched here last night at a mass meeting addressed by leaders of all groups in the Zionist movement. Col. Podwicki, a Pole, who presided, expressed the hope that “the blood shed by Jews and Poles during the uprising in the Warsaw ghetto would create strong bonds between the two peoples.”
