Walter Gross, head of the Racial Department of the Nazi Party, today declared that the Pope “has only shown his ignorance of the knowledge of biology” in criticizing the racial doctrines of the Third Reich.

Addressing a seminar of leaders of the Hitler Youth Organization, institute of politics, Gross declared that the Nazi regime will never compromise on its anti-Jewish policy.

“The racial policy,” he asserted, “is the central policy of our entire Nazi movement,” Admitting that many at home and abroad feared the racial policy as dangerous to the cultural future of the Reich, he described such fears as “poison of the worst kind.”

Referring to the Vatican’s criticism of the race laws, Gross stated that in arguing that the laws are contradictory to science, the Pope “has only shown his ignorance of the knowledge of Biology.
