Pope John Paul II will visit the West Bank town of Jericho during his trip to the region next month. Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat announced the addition to the papal itinerary after being granted a private audience with the pope in the Vatican. The pope has already planned to stop at the Palestinian-ruled town of Bethlehem.
