The barring of non-Moslem Turks from employment on foreign ships in the Constantinople port has been stopped. They are again being allowed to work and it is understood that instructions are to be issued to the police against putting further obstacles in their way.
Jews, Turkish subjects, who were hitherto regularly employed in the port service, upon reporting for work on August 11th were prevented from entering by the police. Under the Turkish Constitution religious discrimination is not permissible.
