The possibilities of post-war immigration to Latin American countries were discussed here at a dinner tendered by the Hias-Ica Emigration Association to representatives of the Jewish communities of Central and South America now in this country.
The representatives from Argentine, Venezuela and Colombia were pessimistic about immigration prospects in their countries, while the representatives from Cuba, Uruguay, Chile and Mexico were more optimistic. All present landed the activities of the Hias-Ica Emigration Association in Latin-America. The dinner was addressed by Max Gottschalk, president of the Association, and by Abraham Herman, president of the Hias.
