Jerusalem witnessed a unique occurrence today, when the walls of the city were, found plastered with handbills containing the photographs of Inspector Robinson, recently named to head the section of the Palestine police hunting for tourists who overstayed their visas, and the Jewish police sergeant Etdioni, with the warning that they are tourist hunters.
The hunt being carried on in Palestine today for immigrants illegally there and particularly for tourists who remained in the country after the expiration of their visas has aroused bitter resentment among the Jews of Palestine. The action of the Palestine government has also led to widespread continuing protests by Jewish groups all over the world.
