United States Army headquarters here today granted Constantine Poules, correspondent of the Overseas News Agency who was expelled from Palestine on Oct. 23, a re-entry permit, following refusal of the British authorities in the Middle East to offer a satisfactory explanation for their request two weeks ago that Poulos be expelled.
Investigations conducted by the U. S. War Department and State Department established that Poulos’ conduct and activities in Palestine did not justify his expulsion. (Poules’ re-entry washailed by Harbert Bayord Swepe, chairman of the Overseas News Agency boaru of directors, as “a victory for a free pass against the forces of suppression and political censorship.”)
