A plea to the Jews of Czechoslovakia not to further the Germanization of Czechoslovakian cities, which was made public by the Czechoslovakian National Council, was warmly supported here by Narodny Politica,
The strength of the German minority in the country, the paper declared, is being upheld by Jews.
“In Bruenn,” Narodny Politica said, “the Germans are able to maintain their present position only with the aid of the Jews. The bilinguality of the city was saved for the Germans by the support of the Jewish group. German schools at Bruenn are attended by and filled with Jewish pupils.
“It is strange to see what pains the Jews have taken to preserve the German character of Bruenn. Similar conditions can be observed at Maerisch-Ostrau and other Moravian cities.”
