Praise for the brave policy of Rabbi Zirelson, chief rabbi of the Jewish community of Kishineff and former member of the Roumanian Senate who resigned because of the anti-Semitic policy of the government, was expressed by Rabbi A. J. Kook, chief rabbi of Palestine, in a letter addressed to the aged Jewish leader of Bessarabia.
The Palestine Rabbi commended Rabbi Zirelson for his work in the protection of Jewish rights. Replying to Rabbi Kook, Rabbi Zirelson stated that he will continue his fight for justice and equality.
