General Massu, leader of the Algerian military coup last May, preceding the ascendancy to the French Premiership of Gen. Charles de Gaulle, today paid a formal visit to the headquarters of the Jewish Community of Algiers. Gen. Massu made his visit in his capacity as prefect for the Department of Algiers. He was received by Gaston Saffar, president of the Jewish Community, and by members of the Jewish organization’s top council.
