PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATIONS ON QUESTIONS SUCH AS IRRIGATION HAVE ALREADY BEEN LAUNCHED BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT PREPARATORY TO SENDING A SECOND COMMISSION TO PALESTINE, THE JEWISH TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY LEARNED TODAY FROM OFFICIAL CIRCLES. NO DATE HAS YET BEEN FIXED FOR DEPARTURE OF THE COMMISSION, WHOSE PURPOSE IT WILL BE TO MAP DETAILS OF THE PROJECTED THREE-WAY PARTITION OF PALESTINE.
WHEN THE COMMISSION DEPARTS WILL DEPEND UPON CONCLUSION OF THE INVESTIGATIONS. IT WAS LEARNED THE AUTHORITIES CONSIDER THE GENERAL SECURITY SITUATION IN PALESTINE TO BE OF A NATURE NOT AFFECTING THE ACTIVITIES OF SUCH A BODY. RECENT MURDERS IN THE HOLY LAND ARE CONSIDERED SPORADIC IN CHARACTER, NOT IMPLYING THREAT OF AN OUTBREAK, AND THE PALESTINE ADMINISTRATION IS CONSIDERED TO HAVE THE SITUATION WELL UNDER CONTROL.
