Premier David Ben Gurion of Israel arrived here today on what was desoribed as “a private visit.” Mr. Ben Gurion flew here from Athens, where he has been on vacation for several days.
Immediately upon his arrival, the Israel Premier proceeded to Oxford where he intends to pursue his interests as a classical scholar and bibliophile. He indicated that he would not stay in London, but will visit a number of university cities in England. Authoritative Israel sources emphasize that no speculation should be made as to the reason for Mr. Ben Gurion’s visit, since such speculations “would be entirely idle.”
