A detailed report on the political situation was made to a Cabinet meeting here today by Premier David Ben Gurion. The meeting lasted for eight hours.
Minister of Communications David Zvi Pinkas reported on the seamen’s strike, which was intensified today when the 105 members of the crew of the S.S. Negba joined the strikers. Part of the Cabinet session was devoted to discussion of the 1951-52 budget which goes to Parliament next week. (See later story on Page 4.)
