Premier Blum’s Cousin Wins Parliament Seat Against Fascist

Jules Moch, Socialist Cabinet Secretary and cousin of Premier Leon Blum, was elected to the Chamber of Deputies today in the final ballot of the Sete by-election, the Havas News Agency reported.

He gained 8,554 votes compared with 2,312 for his only opponent Henri Vuillemin, candidate of the Fascist-inclined French People’s Party of Jacques Doriot.
