Bulgarian premier Kimon Georgiev yesterday expressed his government’s readiness to cooperate fully with the Joint Distribution Committee in the economic rehabilitation of Bulgarian Jewry.
In an interview with the local J.D.C. director, Manuel Siegel, and a Jewish Telegraphic Agency correspondent, Georgiev said the government would undertake to remove all obstacles hindering the widest distribution of J.D.C. supplies.
He suggested that the J.D.C. attempt permanently to rehabilitate the Jews and facilitate their speediest reintegration into the nation’s economy through the distribution of large quantities of tools and machinery.
